Great Western Arms Sherriffs Model
A Great Western Sherriffs Model that sold through Cabelas in April, 2010.
My anecodtal observation having observed 5 or so of these is that many came with real stag grips.

There is apparently no original factory documentation left on Great Western revolvers. The factory documentation dissappeared with the company in the early 60’s.
A collection of serial numbers and model information would go a long way in making sense of the production run of Great Western revolvers. I’ve started a list. It’s less than 100 right now.
What I’m interested in is caliber, finish, barrel length, other factory options - and perhaps - where the gun was purchased (most meaningful if you are the orginal owner). Write me at sackpeterson@comcast.net if you feel like sharing this information.
I’ll try and figure out a way to present this information on the web in the future.
